GeyLang Food Hunt

Geylang road has been long reputed for its plethora of yummy food choices amongst Singaporeans. From frog porridge to zhi char restaurants that we’re all so familiar with, drawing late night owls with its popular supper spots littered along the ‘Lorongs’.

1st Stop: Lunch at G7 Sin Ma Claypot Live Frog

It is easy to see what there is to love about the frog dishes. This firm meat resembles the chicken slightly, but is more sought after by many for its unique texture. G7 Sin Ma serves up some really smooth porridge that goes ever so well with its many varieties of frog dishes.

2nd Stop: Geylang Lorong 9 Beef Kway Teow

The thick black bean sauce and the tender beef combine perfectly with the fragrant wok hei in the pre-fried hor fun. I never fail to slurp up every bit of the gravy in this dish. While standards may have fallen over the years, this stall still serves up one of the better beef kway teows you can get in Singapore!

3rd Stop: Enjoy dinner at No Signboard Seafood Restaurant

One of the most well-known seafood restaurants to date, No Signboard has been around for decades since the late 1970s. Serving well-loved food to returning customers has made the restaurant one of the household names that resound amongst Singaporeans. One of their most noted signature dishes would be the white pepper crab. It is what made me fall in love with this restaurant years ago and I would highly recommend this dish, especially when you have friends from other countries visiting.
